Attorney Kriss was born and raised in Rhode Island‚ conducted his undergraduate studies in Maine‚ and earned his law degree in Connecticut. The son of two small business owners‚ Attorney Kriss brings that same hardworking dedication to his practice. He has brought Kriss Law and Atlantic Closing & Escrow from a small practice to one of the most recognized real estate firms on the East Coast operating under the credo that “no call ever goes unreturned‚” Attorney Kriss has also served as a contributor to Mortgage Originator Magazine.

Chris Morton, Esq., Managing Attorney

Attorney Morton has been with the Kriss Law and Atlantic Closing & Escrow, LLC since May of 2005. Born and raised in Westbrook‚ Maine, he is a 1994 graduate of the New England School of Law. Attorney Morton is senior title counsel at Kriss Law and Atlantic Closing & Escrow, LLC, and specializes in the representation of mortgage lenders‚ buyers and sellers in real estate acquisitions and financing.

Scott M. Taylor‚ Esq., Partner

Raised in Newton‚ Massachusetts‚ Attorney Taylor joined Kriss Law and Atlantic Closing & Escrow, LLC in 2008 and became a partner in 2015. Attorney Taylor graduated with honors from Lehigh University in 2002 and Suffolk University Law School in 2006. Attorney Taylor focuses on general real estate and land title matters‚ including representing buyers and sellers in purchase and sale negotiations‚ as well as representing lenders in residential real estate closings.

David Cuttler‚ Esq., Partner

Originally from Montreal‚ Canada‚ Attorney Cuttler received his degree in Social Sciences from Marianopolis College in 1996 then went on to obtain a BA in Psychology from Concordia University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2000. Attorney Cuttler continued his studies at New England School of Law in Boston, focusing in the area of Real Estate Law. He graduated with Dean's List honors in 2005 and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar that same year. He served as counsel with Barbera & Shargel LLP in their Real Estate department prior to merging with Kriss Law and Atlantic Closing & Escrow, LLC in 2008. Attorney Cuttler serves as a senior attorney specializing in buyer and seller representation and real estate closings. David was named a partner of the firm in 2015.

Michael P. Krone‚ Esq.‚ Of Counsel

Attorney Krone has been involved in the practice of real estate law for over 30 years. He has managed several real estate businesses and law firms and has vast experience in the title insurance industry. Attorney Krone has served as Vice President of First American Title Insurance Company and was founder and CEO of ClosingCounsel.com. Attorney Krone spearheads the Kriss Law/Atlantic Realtor continuing education program and is the firm’s lead counsel and consultant.

Susan Makin, Closing Manager

Susan has led the Kriss Law/Atlantic closing department for nearly a decade. With an unparalleled wealth of knowledge and unmatched attention to detail, our entire firm enjoys working with Susan on a daily basis. From hiring the most talented staff in the industry to jumping into files when she is needed, Susan is always available for Kriss Law/Atlantic employees and clients.

Beverly Goodwin, Office & Facilities Manager

A lifelong resident of Waltham, Massachusetts, Beverly joined Kriss Law/Atlantic 8 years ago following a nearly three decade stint as a Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Manager. As Office & Facilities Manager, she works closely with all departments to see that our internal needs are met on a day-to-day basis.

Robert Fedorowicz, Controller

A 27-year resident of Westwood, Massachusetts, Bob oversees all Kriss Law/Atlantic finances. Mr. Fedorowicz received his undergraduate degree from Bentley College and has extensive accounting and real estate experience including property acquisition, development, management and construction. Previously, Bob held titles as Controller, Systems Manager and Certified Consultant within the real estate Industry. In addition, Bob earned his certification in Sage 300 CRE Real Estate and Construction in 2015 and holds his Massachusetts real estate license.

Danielle Hill, Compliance Department Manager

Danielle grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from Shippensburg University in 2006. She relocated to Massachusetts in 2008 to attend Suffolk University, where she graduated in 2009 with a second bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies. Danielle joined Kriss Law/Atlantic in 2009 and took over both our Funding and Disbursement Departments shortly thereafter. Through a keen attention to detail and an eye for efficiency, Danielle has streamlined many of our processes to create check points for quality control while maintaining our focus on providing excellent customer service throughout the entire transaction. In 2018, Danielle's role changed when she was named Compliance Department Manager. In her new role, Ms. Hill and her team insure that the firm's practices are 100% compliant.

Irene Figueiredo, Human Resources/Firm Manager

Born and raised in Massachusetts and a current resident of Natick, Irene joined Kriss Law/Atlantic in 2016. Irene graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Education. She has over 20 years of experience in human resources and office management and has worked in the research and development industry for most of her career.  She performs these functions at Kriss Law/Atlantic. Irene is a highly creative problem solver, effective people person and team builder. Irene enjoys running, mountain biking and yoga in her free time.

Nicole Waheed, Sales Lead, Mid-Atlantic

Nicole's broadcasting and business marketing background led her to a home in the real estate industry. With an eye for fine luxury properties and a passion to meet and exceed all goals, she focuses her time on providing the best service possible to her lender and Realtor clients. In addition, Ms. Waheed provides support to her Kriss Law/Atlantic colleagues in Maryland, Virginia, D.C., and Delaware. Nicole earned a B.A. in broadcast journalism from the State University of Buffalo and an M.A. in criminal justice communications from Niagara University. Nicole resides in Bethesda, MD with her husband and three children.

Monica Yancey, Senior Paralegal, Task Manager

Monica grew up in Wellesley, MA and is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Now residing in Boston with her family, Ms. Yancey has over 15 years of residential real estate paralegal experience. Monica initially joined Kriss Law /Atlantic in 2004 and after a brief hiatus made a return. She provides daily management, support and overflow coverage to the paralegal team.

Caitlin Jacob, Senior Paralegal, Training

A Massachusetts native, Ms. Jacab received her B.S. in Criminal Justice from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. She entered the residential real estate field while still in college and now has over 14 years of experience. A six year Kriss Law/Atlantic veteran, aside from working with our clients, Caitlin leads our Paralegal training program. Ms. Jacob enjoys spending weekends with her husband and two young children.

Kim Furze, Senior Paralegal, Platform Training

Kim grew up in Easton, MA and earned a B.S. from Plymouth State College. With over 15 years of experience in the residential real estate industry, Kim joined Kriss Law/Atlantic 3 years ago. Kim has worked in many of the firm's departments, starting as a Legal Assistant and later promoted to Senior Paralegal. Kim currently acts as firm liaison to our operating platform provider.

Brian Carroll, Legal Assistant Manager

Brian grew up in Canton, MA and joined Kriss Law/Atlantic in 2014. Mr. Carroll is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire. Brian’s primary role at Kriss Law/Atlantic is the management of over 20 legal assistants. He makes sure their title production and file management is up to his high standards. Prior to joining Kriss Law/Atlantic, Mr. Carroll was a title examiner.

Maureen Hilton, Post Closing Team Lead

A lifelong New Englander, Maureen received her B.S. from Rivier University and shortly thereafter entered the residential real estate field. Maureen uses her 25 years of experience in all aspects of real estate to make sure her team here at Kriss Law/Atlantic provides the best service possible to our clients following the completion of a transaction.

Scott Costello, Funding Department Team Lead

A Plymouth, Massachusetts native, Mr. Costello earned his undergraduate degree from Newbury College and Paralegal Certificate from Bridgewater State University. For nearly a decade, Scott has been working in the residential real estate conveyancing space. A tireless worker, Scott and his team here at Kriss Law/Atlantic insure that all wires, checks, and funding related items are handled with perfection.

Ben Hollander, Esq., Senior Connecticut Counsel

Attorney Hollander is a graduate of George Washington University and Quinnipiac University School of Law.  He has been in private practice since 1999 in Connecticut specializing in transactional matters including representation of buyers, sellers, and lenders. Attorney Hollander's practice has also included his appointment as a Special Public Defender.

Kenneth Russo, Esq., Senior Counsel, Florida

Raised in Cranston, Rhode Island‚ Attorney Russo pursued his undergraduate studies in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, graduating from McGill University with a B.A. in Humanistic Studies (History and Foreign Languages). He earned his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1990. He has concentrated his legal work in residential and commercial real estate transactions since 2003, including representation of buyers, sellers and lenders, and has extensive experience in conducting closings. He has been admitted to practice in Florida, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts and also holds a Real Estate Broker’s license in Massachusetts. Attorney Russo joins Kriss Law/Atlantic to combine his enthusiasm for real estate with his skills in forging new business relationships within the real estate and lending communities in order to further the company’s growth in the Florida marketplace.

Charles Silver, Esq., Connecticut Counsel

Charles graduated from Lehigh University in 1974 with a B.S. in Accounting and from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1977 with a J.D. Charles began his career in 1977 at Arthur Anderson & Company in Hartford, Connecticut as a Senior Tax Accountant. Charles became a CPA in 1979. In 1981 he became a Junior Partner with the Law Firm Rome, Case, Kennelly and Klebanoff in Bloomfield, Connecticut and in 1990 he joined the firm of Beizer and Weintraub in West Hartford, Connecticut as a Partner. Charles opened his own Law Practice in Bloomfield, Connecticut in 1995 and a second office in Stratford, Connecticut in 2005. Charles joins his Kriss Law/Atlantic colleagues in representing buyers, sellers, and lenders.

Margaret Gunkel, Esq.

Attorney Gunkel focuses on residential real estate matters. Originally from Savannah, Georgia, Attorney Gunkel graduated with honors from Middlebury College in 2005 and from Charleston School of Law in 2009. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, Georgia, and South Carolina. Prior to joining Kriss Law, Attorney Gunkel practiced bankruptcy law.

Elisavet Pesirides, Esq.

Attorney Pesirides is a graduate of Suffolk University and the Massachusetts School of Law. Aside from traditional attorney functions, Elisavet also acts as our most senior New England client liaison.

Corey Pelletier, Esq.

Originally from Attleboro, MA, Attorney Pelletier earned his undergraduate degree from Babson College in 1998. After graduation, he owned and operated the Wellesley Bread Company before attending Suffolk University Law School. Attorney Pelletier’s practice focuses on representing Buyers and Sellers in real estate negotiations and lenders in real estate closings.

Aviv Shamash, Esq.

Attorney Shamash focuses on residential real estate matters. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Attorney Shamash earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He then attended Suffolk University Law School where he graduated, summa cum laude, in 2012. Aviv interned at Kriss Law/Atlantic during his law school tenure.

Geoffrey Sciotti, Esq.

Attorney Sciotti was raised in Lincoln, Rhode Island. He joined Kriss Law/Atlantic in 2016. Attorney Sciotti graduated from Fairfield University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Finance. In 2014, he earned his juris doctor with a focus in real estate law at Suffolk University Law School. Attorney Sciotti focuses his practice on general real estate matters, including representing residential purchasers and sellers in purchase and sales negotiation matters and representing purchasers, sellers and lenders in residential real estate closings. Attorney Sciotti is licensed to practice law in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Liana Arvay, Esq., Title Curative Department Manager

Liana Arvay is a Kriss Law/Atlantic Senior Associate practicing in all aspects of real estate conveyancing. She has represented Buyers, Sellers and Lenders alike in hundreds of seamless transactions throughout her career and works diligently to ensure her customers are satisfied. A Graduate of New England School of Law, Liana is a New York City transplant who landed in Boston in 2008. She is licensed in both Massachusetts and New York and specializes in first time home buyers, examining and clearing titles, and landlord tenant relations.

Amanda Florek, Esq.

Attorney Florek is a ten plus year veteran of the conveyancing industry. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts and the Suffolk University School of Law, Amanda has a tremendous client base comprised of some of the most prominent lenders and Realtors in New England. Attorney Florek is known for her great knowledge, superior attention to detail, and expertise in handling even the most complex closing issues.

Wendy Kamens, Esq.

Attorney Kamens received her undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts and her J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law. Wendy has over twenty years of real estate experience including the management of conveyancing departments of other firms. At Kriss Law/Atlantic, Attorney Kamens uses her extensive experience and expertise in the real estate arena in representing buyers, sellers and lenders in all aspects of the real estate closing process.

Cory Fox, Esq.

Attorney Fox has been practicing law since 2009, with a particular focus on residential real estate transactions. Prior to joining Kriss Law/Atlantic, Cory worked as an attorney with the law firm of Rollins, Rollins and Fox in Newton, MA. Originally from Westwood, MA, attorney Fox is a graduate of Westfield State University and the New England School of Law.

Brian VandenBosch, Esq.

Attorney VandenBosch was raised in Melbourne, Florida. He completed his undergraduate studies in economics and political science at Florida State University in 2012 before moving to Boston, where he earned his J.D. from New England School of Law in 2015. Prior to joining Kriss Law/Atlantic, Attorney VandenBosch practiced residential real estate law with firms in Medford and Boston where he represented buyers, sellers, lenders, and developers in the acquisition, sale, and financing of real estate. He currently resides in Canton with his wife and their French Bulldog. Brian enjoys golfing in his spare time.

Leo Foussekis, Esq.

Attorney Foussekis is a graduate of Bryant University and the Suffolk University School of Law. A native New Englander, Leo’s goal is to use communication to make the sometimes intimidating home buying process as easy as possible for his clients. Leo focuses his practice on the representation of buyers, sellers, and lenders.

Rahul Aggarwal, Esq.

Raised in Burlington, Massachusetts, Attorney Aggarwal earned his B.A. from Brandeis University and his J.D. from the Suffolk University School of Law. After working for a prominent local lender, Rahul honed his conveyancing skills at smaller law firms before joining Kriss Law/Atlantic. Here at Kriss Law/Atlantic, Attorney Aggarwal focuses his efforts on providing the best service possible to his buyer, seller, and lender clients.

Bridget Fiala, Esq.

Bridget resides in West Springfield and focuses her practice on representing buyers, sellers and lenders in the western portion of Massachusetts. Having worked as a paralegal and an attorney, Ms. Fiala has a deep understanding of real estate law and provides reliable and personal service to her clients. Attorney Fiala’s goal is to make the closing process as smooth as possible. Bridget is a graduate of Westfield State University and received her law degree from Western New England University School of Law.
